Dancing, a form of art and culture
As an avid dancer since childhood, Nikole explained her biggest dream was to open her own dance school and share her knowledge with others.
For some, dancing is merely a fleeting hobby.
However, it is Nikole Naidoo’s passion, her calling and her life, as music surges through her soul.
As an avid dancer since childhood, Nikole explained her biggest dream was to open her own dance school and share her knowledge with others.
Her dream realised when she officially opened her dance school, Aja Nachale Entertainment in 2013.
Situated at the Ward 3 War Room in Suryaville, Nikole is determined to ensure her students are not only the best, but enjoy every moment of their lessons.
“I currently have 28 students and over the past three years, the dancing and choreography have improved drastically,” she beamed.
Displaying their dancing abilities at the Vodacom Newcastle Winter Festival, students awed crowds with their spectacular dance routines.
Nikole said the purpose of her school extended far beyond instilling a passion for dance.
“I am trying to uplift arts and culture, as dancing forms a part of everyone’s heritage. Also, it is the ideal way to keep youngsters off drugs and wasting their time. Instead of putting their emotions into a drug or drinking habit, they can rather put all their emotions into dancing.”
As her dance school caters for all ages, Nikole said she had high hopes for the future.
“There are plans in the pipeline to acquire bigger premises and starting my own dance studio,” she concluded.
