Getting ready for Raksha Bandhan

The money raised will be used to complete the building of a community hall

The Young Hindu Cultural Service Society will be hosting its annual Raksha Bandhan Unity Festival on Saturday at the SDS Hall, starting at 5.30pm.

Hundreds of people attend in commemoration of the love brothers and sisters have for each other, and to enjoy the amazing line-up of entertainment on stage.

Song and dance will be the highlight of the night, including a Raksha Bandhan debs ball in which seven beautiful young girls will be participating.

Good luck, girls! Raksha Bandhan is a Hindu festival that celebrates the love and duty between brothers and sisters; the festival is also popularly used to celebrate any brother-sister relationship between men and women who are relatives or biologically unrelated.

Tickets are available from the lovely debutantes. The money raised will be used to complete the building of a community hall which is situated at 69 Kandahar Avenue, Ladysmith.

Final touches are being applied to the roof of the building that is proving to be an attractive landmark in that of town..

The society’s quest is to complete the building by raising funds. The proceeds of the yearly Raksha Bandhan Unity Festival and Debutantes Ball will go towards the building.
