Politicians have to be on their toes these days defending themselves against pesky journalists.

For those aspiring political people here are 10 tips to make sure you do not get caught out when you have to face the press.

1. Remember there are never any problems anymore – only challenges.

2. We are always rolling out new programmes to our people.

3. When confronted with issues, we unpack these constructively and press ahead with consultations.

4. We engage with people to ensure that their concerns are well ventilated in a democratic environment.

5. Pass me that tender.

6. In terms of Section 4, paragraph three of the Constitution, point 3 b, it is imperative that we undertake the undertaking.

7. We must look at issues holistically within our platforms to ensure that we obtain the correct outcomes.

8. We must ensure that we are inclusive to prevent our people from being excluded from the relevant processes.

9. In a democratic environment, we must look beyond the confines of our challenges and grasp whatever opportunities become presentable.

10. Transforming our society  requires dynamic thinking  as we strive wholeheartedly to level the playing fields.
