SPCA to celebrate Mandela Day with two events
Why not help the SPCA this Mandela Day?

Not sure how to spend your 67 minutes for Mandela Day?
Why not help the SPCA and make a difference in the lives of the animals there.
The SPCA are doing things a bit differently this year, by hosting two events. On July 18, the organisation will be hosting an awareness/ adoption drive at the Pick ‘n Pay Boulevard Centre. Staff and committee members will be present from 10am with pictures of animals available for adoption and pamphlets to raise awareness for the work the SPCA does.
There will be a donation box available for food, toys, blankets and other treats. A colouring-in competition for kids aged between three to twelve years old will be held. It’s free to enter, all you have to do is colour in the picture as best you can and you could win. Pictures can be picked up from the SPCA table on Mandela Day or at the SPCA, Farmers Agri-Care or Northern Natal Courier Offices. Winners will be announced on July 29 at the SPCA’s second event.
Dubbed the Kennel Make Over for Mandela Day, the SPCA are calling on businesses to do up one of the kennels in their colours. By sponsoring a kennel, you and your staff get to renovate the kennel to reflect your business and ensure that the animals who share that space, have a bright and beautiful place to live in.
Farmers Agri-Care have already agreed to ‘do up’ a dog and cat kennel.
One can also come and play with the animals on the day, indulge in some delicious treats and spend one’s Saturday making a difference.
Winners of the colouring-in competition will be announced at 11am on the day but one has to be present to claim one’s prize. So come on down and give a kennel a make-over, play with the doggies and cats or just spend the day at the SPCA.
