Doug Grewar of the Paddadam Committee thanked Ward 9 councillor, Alta Roos de Kock, and Paddadam Committee chairman, Dawid Beetge, for their continual efforts.
“The AbaQulusi Council has at long last put the Paddadam lease on the agenda for their full council meeting on May 30. We are hoping for a successful outcome and not another postponement. We have people prepared to donate towards fencing, electricity connections and other developments, but nothing can be done until the lease is signed,” said Mr Grewar.

“The committee has decided to buy some chairs and tables to give market day visitors a place to sit and enjoy the snacks that they buy from the vendors. The park is really looking lovely and Market Day weather is forecast to be 20 degrees so we are keeping fingers crossed,” he concluded.
