On 31 October 2021, Anna-Marie Ferreira participated in the 51st Diamond Marathon presented by the Kimberley Harriers Running Club at Diamantveld High School in Kimberley.  

Temperatures in the low 20s, a slight breeze for comfort and many months of preparation paved the way for Anna-Marie’s first half-marathon and first official road race since January 2020 when she competed in the 10km Sasol Summer Race. Anna-Marie ran in the colours of Parys Multisport and started the race with another 151 athletes. She completed the 21.1 km half-marathon in a time of 02:25:58 and finished second in her age category (Women 60–69).
