Forty-two registered runners and at least 7 non-registered runners, completed the first ever scenic Parys myrun course through the Parys Golf & Country Estate, and along the Vaal River on Sunday 2 December.
First runner home in an excellent time of 16 minutes 12 seconds was Jason Bowers, while Michelle van den Berg, was the first lady home in 27 minutes 9 seconds.
The first myrun Parys Golf and Country Estate was honoured by visitors from as far as Bloemfontein, Welkom and Johannesburg, including the queen of parkrun in SA, Tracy Rankin (368 runs), and Keith and Hilary Levenstein with 286 and 294 runs respectively.

myrun is a free weekly timed 5km run/walk event. Pre-registration is required at myrun.org.za The event is open to everyone regardless of level of fitness. The route promises to be fast, flat and scenic. It is stroller friendly and dogs on short leashes are allowed. Registered runners will receive 300 Vitality points.

Remember no myrun this weekend due to the Power Boat race on Sunday 9 December at Parys Golf & Country Estate. However myrun will commence again on 16 December and run throughout the festive season.
