The Merafong City Local Municipality managed to, for the time being, stop Eskom from switching off Fochville’s and Carletonville’s electricity.

An interim interdict was granted against Eskom in the High Court in Pretoria this morning. This will stop Eskom from cutting or terminating Fochville and Carletonville’s electricity, unless during normal load shedding, until 7 April, when the matter will fully be heard in court.
