Pothole alert on N1

Please be extra cautious on the roads specificallly also during the current rainy weather conditions.

Sipho Towa , Free State Road Incident Management Systems (RIMS) Chairperson warned motorists to be cautious of potholes, on the N1 South Bound , about 6km after passing the Koppies Off Ramp (R82)
Towa said  the presence of potholes on certain roads have already caused damages to vehicles and may potentially lead to accidents.
Motorists are advised to:
1. *Reduce speed*: Slow down when approaching areas with potholes to avoid losing control of your vehicle.
2. *Be aware of your surroundings*: Keep an eye out for potholes and other road hazards.
3. *Maintain a safe distance*: Leave enough space between you and the vehicle in front of you.

The responsible authorities has been informed of the potholepo on the R82 and will be working towards repairing the potholes and improve road condition.
