Fezile Dabi District Commissioner honors CPF members
Efforts in promoting community participation in policing and enhancing cooperation between the SAPS and communities were acknowledged and appreciated.
The Fezile Dabi District Commissioner, Major General Makubo, honoured Community Policing Forum (CPF) members and bid farewell to the outgoing District Executive Committee during the Fezile Dabi District Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at the Zamdela SAPS Hall on Saturday, June 13.
The award ceremony aimed to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions made by CPF members, community patrollers, and community stakeholders in the fight against crime and the promotion of safer communities throughout the district.
During the ceremony, certificates of recognition were awarded in various categories to individuals and structures that demonstrated exceptional commitment and dedication to community safety. The categories included:
• Best Community Policing Forum (CPF)
• Best Community Policing Officer (CPO)
• Best Community Patroller
• Best Community Builder
Commitment to crime prevention initiatives
The District Commissioner commended all award recipients for their unwavering commitment to crime prevention initiatives and their continued support of policing activities within the district. He emphasised the important role played by community structures in creating safer environments and fostering trust between the SAPS and the communities they serve.
In addition to the awards presented, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the outgoing Fezile Dabi District CPF Executive Committee members in recognition of their leadership, dedication, and service during their term of office. Their efforts in promoting community participation in policing and enhancing cooperation between the SAPS and communities were acknowledged and appreciated.

The District Commissioner thanked all CPF members, Community Policing Officers, community patrollers, and stakeholders for their continued support and encouraged them to maintain the strong partnerships that contribute to effective crime prevention and community safety throughout the district.
