Something unusual is happening at Paws Haven this Spring Day and it involves Tokkie.

Most people who know Paws Haven will know Harriette “Tokkie” Aucamp, whose unique personality has become part of what makes the animal shelter so special.

Now, Tokkie has decided she wants to help raise funds to feed the dogs in Paws Haven’s care. But she is willing to make what can only be described as the ultimate sacrifice for the cause.

Tokkie is willing to wear a dress for Spring Day.

Yes, a dress.

Tokkie. In. A. Dress.

However, this historic moment will not come for free.

Paws Haven is asking the community: How much would you pay to see Tokkie in a dress?

Would it be R20, R50, R100 or perhaps even R500?

The shelter has challenged Potchefstroom residents to comment with the amount they would be willing to contribute. If there is enough interest, Paws Haven will set a fundraising target.

And if the community reaches that target, Tokkie will put on the dress for Spring Day.

Every rand raised will go towards helping feed the dogs in Paws Haven’s care.

So, Potchefstroom, the question is simple, What is Tokkie in a dress worth to you?

It could be a little bit of fun for Spring Day, but more importantly, it could help put food in the bowls of dogs who rely on Paws Haven for their care.
