SAPS invites unemployed graduates to internship as National Skills Development

The closing date for the internship is 17 May 2024.

Are you an unemployed graduate and perhaps wondering what your next chapter should be? If so, this opportunity is for you!

The South African Police Service (SAPS) invites all unemployed graduates to a SAPS internship. Unemployed graduates should match up to a 12-month Graduate Recruitment Scheme, forming part of the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy.

The general requirements for the recruitment scheme are:

– Be a South African citizen – Have a National Senior Certificate or equivalent (NCV L4 from institutions like a TVET college)

– Have no previous criminal convictions or criminal/other cases pending

– Applicants must be unemployed, never employed in the field of the advertised post and never participated in an internship programme in the relevant field of the post

– Applicants must be residents of the province where the post is advertised

– Applicants are restricted to applying for only three posts and complete a separate application form for each post reference number.

The minimum requirements for intern categories are:

Graduate Intern: A tertiary qualification is required

Student Intern: Practical experience required by the tertiary institution for learners to finalise their qualifications.

A letter from the institution not older than two years must be attached. Only the official application form for the Graduate Recruitment Scheme programme will be accepted.
