Electricity has been restored in the Promosa and Mohadin area after technicians repaired the damages due to vandalism.

Technicians worked tireless yesterday to repair damages at Poortjiedam substation as it was vandalised the previous night.  Panels had been stripped and the electrical protection of the substation had been seriously damaged.

To avoid further damage, the substation had been switched off, leaving residents of Promosa and Mohadin without electricity.
