Tariff hikes from July 2016

Yesterday(30 May), Tlokwe executive mayor, Kgotso Khumalo presented the state of the city address. He also presented the new municipal tariff increases for Tlokwe.

Yesterday(30 May), Tlokwe executive mayor, Kgotso Khumalo presented the state of the city address and a R1.34 billion 2016/17 budget at Promosa hall.

He also presented the new municipal tariff increases for Tlokwe.

New increased tariffs for Tlokwe are as follows:

Property rates will increase by:                      6%

Sewage charges will increase by:                   6%

Refuse removal charges will increase by:      6%

Water tariffs will increase by:                        6%

Electricity tariffs will increase by:                  7. 643%

Cemetery charges will increase by:               9%

All other tariffs will increase by                     6%

According to Khumalo, the increases come into effect in 1 July 2016.
