
A 28-year-old mentally disabled epileptic was allegedly raped in Baipei Ext. 3 at about 16:00 last Monday.
According to Ikageng SAPS spokesperson, Const. Kelebogile Trom the victim alleges that she met the suspect, who is known to her, while she was coming back from visiting friends. He allegedly held a knife to her throat and grabbed her hands behind her back and led her to where he stays.
On arrival, he locked the door, put the knife down and undressed her, threw her on the bed and raped her three times.
“She was crying throughout the ordeal; the suspect swore at her, ordered her to keep quiet and choked her. When he was done, he told her to get dressed and go home,” said Trom.
She urged the family members of people with mental disabilities to always take care of them and ensure that they are safe from harm.
