Cope demands proof of Nkandla payment from Zuma

Congress of the People noted with interest the reports from the Presidency that Mr Jacob Zuma has paid back the 7. 8 million for the non-security upgrade of Nkandla residence, says COPE spokesperson Dennis Bloem in a statement.

Congress of the People noted with interest the reports from the Presidency that Mr Jacob Zuma has paid back the 7.8 million for the non-security upgrade of Nkandla residence, says Cope spokesperson Dennis Bloem in a statement.
Bloem says the party wants to question the validity of this report.
“We will only believe this when we see the proof of payment. Mr Zuma has said on many occasions that he will not pay back the money. Even if Mr Zuma paid this amount of money it will never take away the fact that he has broken his oath of office and that he is no more an honourable president. Cope demand that he vacate the office of the President,” said Bloem.
