Three men took turns in raping a 37-year-old woman in an open veld in the Eskom section of Ext. 11 at 04:00 on Sunday.

According to WO Ishmael Mohutsiwa, the victim allegedly had a drink with friends at a tavern in Ext. 11 at about 22:00 on Saturday.
Thereafter, two males picked them up in a taxi and took them to a pub where they continued drinking until the early hours of the next morning.
When they were ready to go home, the taxi driver offered them a lift but said he could not drop them all off at their respective homes.
Her two friends went to sleep over in Top City but the victim decided to rather walk home to Ext. 11.
As she passed Ikalafeng School, she noticed two young men standing and talking. They told her to stop and pulled out two knives.
‘She tried to run away but another two men suddenly appeared in front of her,’ said Mohutsiwa.
The four assailants dragged her into the veld and ordered her to take off her clothes. When she resisted, one of them started kicking her on the ground and another removed her tracksuit pants.
When the fourth suspect attempted to rape her, community members came to her rescue and the men fled,’ he reported.
Mohutsiwa says the Ikageng police are still looking for the suspects.
