WO Mpho Manyoba, Potchefstroom SAPS spokesperson, says a possession of presumed stolen property (section 36) case was opened after Sgt Lepota and Sgt Makgathe arrested the two suspects. She says the two SAPS officials were patrolling the area when they heard dogs barking and voices coming from the bush. ‘They waited for them to come out of the bush and found them in possession of bags containing two laptops and a cellphone. The suspected thieves were arrested because they could not say where they had got them from. They appeared in the Potchefstroom magistrates’ court on Monday,’ she said.
