Three adults, including the parents of a 3-year-old, have yet to be arrested after shocking revelations by the little girl.
Const. Kelebogile Trom, the Ikageng SAPS spokesperson, told the Herald that a case of rape was opened after the childminder alleged that the child had been violated in Ext. 11. ‘According to the woman, she wanted to bath her at about 19:00 last Thursday but the little girl refused to take off her underwear. When she asked what was wrong, the toddler told her how her father had allegedly touched her private parts and an older man had allegedly raped and sexually assaulted her.
When she tried to tell her mother what had happened, she (the mother) allegedly burnt her on her genitals with a cigarette.’
Trom says the little girl is receiving counselling.
