An unknown man whose hands were tied together with shoelaces was found near the N12 next to Matlwang last Saturday.

According to the Ikageng SAPS spokesperson, Const. Kelebogile Trom, the police received a call at about 10:00.
‘On their arrival, they met the cyclist who had discovered the body of the African male. The deceased also had open wounds on the buttocks and an injured finger. A rope was lying next to him,’ reported Trom.
The body was taken to Potchefstroom Forensics for further investigation.
This murder near Matlwang comes after last week’s report in the Herald of a skeleton of a man with his hands tied together on the R54 near Fochville, about 30 km outside Potchefstroom.
