According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, the police spokesperson, they also stole 34 laptop chargers, 52 tablets, a server, an overhead projector, a CCTV camera box, two Wifi routers, four computers and R2 000 in cash. The total value is more than R200 000.
Trom explained that when a 53-year-old teacher opened the gate at 06:30 on Wednesday, he noticed a refuse bag with an empty cell phone box as he approached the door. β€˜He called the principal and they noticed that the security door had been forced open and the kitchen ceiling was broken. The admin office was standing wide open,’ she said.
She says the police are investigating a business burglary – no arrests have been made yet.
