About forty Ventersdorp residents descended to Potchefstroom to demand the N14 project documents from the JB Marks executive mayor on Thursday morning.
According to Sello Dassie, the chairperson of the concerned residents’ committee, the executive mayor, Kgotso Khumalo indicated to them during Sunday’s mayoral Imbizo that the documents are signed and the project will continue.
The N14 mixed development project refers to the construction of houses for the needy and a shopping mall near the N14 road.
Khuduga Dibe from F4SD (Forum 4 Service Delivery) says this development will boost the economy of Ventersdorp and create job opportunities for the residents.
