Some areas in Ikageng are expected to experience low water pressure after a service provider performing some maintenance work for the municipality accidentally damaged an underground water supply pipe.
According to Jeanette Tshite, the JB Marks spokesperson, repair works are currently in progress.
‘Residents will continue to receive water supply. However, some areas will experience low pressure and their taps will release water poorly. Areas that will be mostly affected will involve the Industrial area as well as Mapetla and Difense in Ikageng,’ said Tshite.
She says it is hoped that the situation will be returned to normality at least by tomorrow morning, adding that the municipality deeply regrets the situation and is working hard to bring the situation back to normal.
