The bodies of two boys who were reported to have been kidnapped, were found today (8 March) in a swimming pool at a residence in Mahikeng.

The bodies of two boys who were reported to have been kidnapped, were found today (8 March) in a swimming pool at a residence in Mahikeng.

On Tuesday, 5 March 2019, a report was made to the police that Onalenna Molehabangwe and Gontse Cholo both aged 10, were allegedly kidnapped while playing at a park in Montshiwa Location, Mmabatho.

The pair from Extension 38 were allegedly kidnapped after being lured with potato chips by occupants of a Volkswagen Polo. They were both learners at Podile Primary School in Ramosadi village.

Onalenna Molehabangwe was kidnapped by three occupants of a Volkswagen Polo.

At this stage, a case of inquest has been opened for investigation.

The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane expressed her heartfelt condolences to the families and urged members of the community to remain calm and afford the police an opportunity to conduct a thorough investigation.
