There will be a 24-hour water disruption from 18:00 today (20 January) to 18:00 tomorrow (21 January).
The municipal spokesperson, William Maphosa, says the infrastructure department is installing a magnetic flow meter on the asbestos pipeline from the Potchefstroom WTW, Old Public Works and Vyfhoek pump station outlet.
The following areas will be affected:
- Potchefstroom Central Business District (CBD)
- Mieder Park
- Die Bult
- Military base.
The residents in the respective areas are warned to ensure that they store enough water supply for the duration of the disruption.
“The municipality regrets the inconvenience, but says the interruption is critical and unavoidable to ensure the water supply is sustainable and remains in working condition,” says Maphosa.
