It has come to our attention that some of the places where the Herald has been made available during the Lockdown are still charging readers for the newspaper.

It has come to our attention that some of the places where the Herald has been made available during the Lockdown are still charging readers for the newspaper.

This can be because of a force of habit by cashiers because the Herald has been sold for so many years.

I urge our readers to make sure that they are not being charged for the Herald during the Lockdown. We have made a commitment to our community to provide local news for free because we understand that during this time factual information is something that the entire community needs.

Please feel free to contact me if you are or have been charged for the Herald during lockdown. dustin.wetdewich@media24.com

I have been a journalist with the herald since 2014. In this time I have won numerous writing awards. I have branched out to sport reporting recently and enjoy the new challenge. In 2019 I was promoted to Editor of the Herald which brings another set of challenges. I am comitted to being the best version of myself.
