Family injured after landing in a ditch

According to Ross Campbell, ER24 spokesperson, on Wednesday (15 April) afternoon, a couple and their daughter were injured after they lost control of their vehicle and landed in a ditch just outside Potchefstroom, on the Carletonville Road.

“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 16:51 to find the daughter outside the vehicle and her parents still seated inside. The mother was found to have suffered moderate injuries and was treated using Advanced Life Support interventions,” said Campbell.

The father and the daughter suffered minor injuries. The parents were transported to Mediclinic Potchefstroom, but the daughter declined to be transported to the hospital.

The couple are in their 70s and it is believed the daughter is in her 40s.

Campbell stated that the cause of the incident is unknown.
