First Covid-19 related death recorded in North West

The North West province has recorded its first death due to Covid-19. 

The North West province has recorded its first death due to Covid-19.

According to a statement made on the provincial department’s Facebook page today (11 May), five new positive cases have recorded bringing the total of infections in the province to 50.

“Number of COVID-19 related deaths nationally is 206. Sadly, we announce first COVID-19 related deaths in the Province (sic),” read the statement.

The province has seen 23 recoveries from the virus thus far.

The Herald has made enquiries to the department, for more information. As soon as more information is made available the Herald will report on it.
