Electricity department closed due to Covid-19

A positive COVID-19 case was confirmed at the Electricity Section of the JB Marks Local Municipality on Tuesday, 23 June 2020.

A positive COVID-19 case was confirmed at the Electricity Section of the JB Marks Local Municipality on Tuesday, 23 June 2020.

According to Jeanette TShite, media relations officer of the municipality, the affected offices will be closed immediately to allow for disinfection to take place.
“Offices are intended to open again for services on Friday, 26 June 2020.
All electricity-related matters should, therefore, be reported to the Disaster Management Call Centre at; 018 299 5347.” Tshite said.
In the statement, Tshite, emphasized that these actions are taken to protect and secure the safety of all clients, the public, and the employees of the Municipality.
“As the JB Marks Local Municipality, we regret the inconvenience but reassure the public that the situation is in control. Together we will overcome this invisible enemy,” she said.
