Face of Potchefstroom winners announced
The photographic and photogenic competition, The Face of Potchefstroom was launched by Janny Djan modeling school for the first time in October this year. Judging by the positive feedback from the public, it was a huge success.
The photographic and photogenic competition, The Face of Potchefstroom was launched by Janny Djan modeling school for the first time in October this year. Judging by the positive feedback from the public, it was a huge success.
The photos were on display at the Potchefstroom Museum until 16 November and the panel of three judges had a tough time selecting the winners from the 99 entries that were received.
Judging was done per photo entered, not per individual person. Photographers had entered their photos in the photographic section under people, animals, architecture and nature categories and individuals entered their photos in the photogenic category per age group.
During the exhibition the public also had the opportunity to vote for their favourite photo. To be able to participate, individuals had to donate a tin of food for each vote they were casting which at the end, resulted in 358 tins of food that were collected for households that are in dire financial distress. Banna Ba Kae Tlokwe’s Mens Forum is responsible for the distribution of the food tins.
Prizes for the winners were sponsored by Mooirivier Mall, Jose de Canha Couture, Aquila Aesthetic and Beauty Clinic, At Fitness Health Club and Aesthete Beauty Salon.
