On Saturday, 4 December, Lefa La Rona, an NPO, hosted a Christmas party for 38 children of Ikhaya La Bantwana.
According to the founder of the NPO, Lesedi Gaabue, Christmas is a time when families come together and embrace one another with love, laughter and gifts.

“That’s why we wanted to give the children of Ikhaya La Bantwana some Christmas cheer,” she said. On the day, the children were entertained with indigenous games and dance competitions.
They also received special gifts from Santa.
“Although the stormy weather challenged us somewhat, the event still turned out to be a huge success,” Lerato Siko, the deputy chairperson of the NPO said.
“We are extremely grateful to all those who made the day a success. The greatest highlight was seeing the smiles on the children’s faces when they received their gifts.”
