Tampered valves and pumps fixed following water shortage

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Gaba Ka Qhele would like to apologize to all residents of Ikageng and surrounding areas for having gone without water on occasion for extended periods.

“Following some investigations that took place, it was found that some valves and pumps of reservoirs at Ikageng and Ventersdorp Road were tampered with,” Acting communication manager, Jeanette Tshite explained. 

 Water shedding occurred in various areas from time to time as a result of this. The inconvenience caused to all affected was very serious, however, the situation is currently back to normal since the valves and pumps that were tampered with have been addressed.
