Five learners rushed to hospital after inhaling pepper spray

Five grade seven learners from Boitirelo primary school in Ikageng were rushed to Potchefstroom hospital this morning, 20 October, after a learner allegedly sprayed pepper spray in a classroom.

The incident happened at approximately 08:00

According to an educator at the school, who asked to remain anonymous, five learners were taken to Potchefstroom  Hospital for a check up. Fortunately all learners are safe and no injuries have been sustained.

School is still in session as normal as only one class was affected.
