
This morning, 28 October, at approximately 06:30, Residents in Extension 6, Ikageng embarked on a strike.

According to a source who asked to remain anonymous, residents are fed up due to lack of proper services.
Police spokesperson, Captain Aafje Botma says approximately 100 residents are gathered at the area and have barricaded the roads. Botma added that although she cannot confirm which streets are affected, she assures members of the community that the is currently no violence and that police are currently monitoring the scene.
“ The protestors are currently waiting on a municipal representative to address them about service delivery,” she said.
