At The High School for Girls Potchefstroom, leaving their school shoes behind after matriculation has become a tradition and the Grade 12s of 2022 were no exception. It is something the school has been doing for many years, setting an example for other schools to follow.
On Friday, 2 December, the girls left their shoes on the school grounds and on Tuesday 6 December the shoes were donated to school children in Ikalafeng Special School in Ikageng.
