Lesego Public Primary, in partnership with Aganang FM community radio station, celebrated World Radio Day on Monday, 13 February.

According to Lephoyi Mojapele, the principal, the day aimed to expose learners and staff members to the radio world. “Aganang FM brought their mobile studio to the school and broadcast live from the school,” he said.

“Obakeng Mahlathe, the programme manager, provided us (staff members) and the learners with background information about radio in South Africa and its function within society,” Mojapele explained.

He added that the most exciting part for the learners was when they went into the studio and interacted with the presenters live on air. Lesego Primary School ex-tends a huge thank you to Aganang FM station manager Thabo Leping and the team for affording the school the opportunity.
