The first football development bootcamp in Potchefstroom is on offer thanks to ACTIV8 Football Development in partnership with JB Marks Local Municipality – Department of Sports, Arts, Culture, Sportistics and Athletes in Need.
The bootcamp was officially launched at the Promosa stadium on Tuesday, 28 February.

Busang Molekane, chairperson of AIN said it was extremely important to bring such a positive incentive to Promosa since the community is largely known for its social ills. This new initiative is expected to serve as a beacon of hope for the youth within the community.

The aim of the launch was for stakeholders to get a full understanding the objectives of the bootcamp which are and not limited to:
- Player scouting and recruitment
- Possible PSL clubs contender
- An opportunity to play in Saudi Arabia in September amongst 20 players who will be selected from Gauteng, Limpopo and North West Province, respectively.
- Player and football skills development
- 5 days football clinics

ACTIV8 is a football development agency residing in Gauteng province and Limpopo province. The agency hosts football boot camps across the country and it is supported by ambassadors of the agency who are former and current football players such as Sphiwe Mkhonza, Brian Baloyi and others.
