Woman dies after being hit by a taxi

An unidentified 32-year-old woman was run over by a minibus taxi in Mandela street, Ikageng at roughly 14:30 yesterday afternoon (9 March).

ER24 were first on scene to provide medical assistance.

According to Col Amanda Funani, police spokesperson the taxi driver was overtaking another taxi when his taxi hit and killed the victim. “A case of culpable homicide has been registered,” she confirmed.
