Temporary water shutdown in Promosa and Ikageng due to repairs

J.B. Marks Municipality spokesperson, Jeanette Tshite, confirmed that the water shutdown is scheduled to take place from in the morning from 10:30 till in the evening. The specific time is still undetermined.

Areas that have been identified will remain without water during the said period. The municipality encourages residents to gather as much water as possible to manage for the whole day. Water supply will be restored as soon as repairs are finalised.

“As JB Marks Local Municipality we regret the inconvenience caused by a temporary water
shutdown nonetheless, we emphasise the necessity to repair the 600mm Diameter Bulk Line
in order to improve supply of water,” stated Tshite.
