Kagiso Lerefolo Foundation(KLF) hosted a youth camp 22-25 September.

The youth camp focused on social cohesion, character building, fostering nation building, leadership, and volunteerism through a community outreach program. Career exhibitions and indigenous games was hosted at the camp.

“These are the core characteristics that we need to instil in our youth in order to ensure a prosperous future for our country,” says Kagiso Lerefolo, director of the Kagiso Lerefolo Foundation.

The Kagiso Lerefolo Youth Camp is a programme that focuses on encouraging and promoting sport and recreation, through engagement, and community services. It is a programme that is supported by different organisations, and is committed to the holistic development and empowerment of young people of all communities and cultural background.

The primary objective of the youth camp was to develop young people and empower them with the requisite values, skills, and knowledge that can assist them to become responsible, conscious citizens and to strengthen their sense of patriotism and national identity.

KLF is a non-profit company that aims to implement community development projects and focus on youth and women development in disadvantaged situations. The KLF merely focus on assistance in the advancement of culture and education to achieve excellence at all levels in the community.
