Spring time is clean-up time in Potchefstroom
Potchefstroom has the opportunity to spring clean the city.
Spring is one of the happiest times of the year as new life starts to blossom. This is also the perfect time to clean. This is why it is called spring cleaning.
As the vibrant colours of spring blossom across Potchefstroom, the Potchefstroom Chamber of Commerce is rallying the community to embrace the season with a spirit of renewal and responsibility.
From September 16-20 the Chamber is hosting a Clean-Up and Recycle Week, inviting businesses, organisations, families, and community members to come together to beautify our city and responsibly dispose of e-waste.
With the ambitious goal of filling 3 000 bags, this initiative reflects our shared commitment to a cleaner, greener Potchefstroom. By standing united under the banner of #ProPotch, we can make a substantial impact on our local environment, enhance the aesthetic appeal of our city, and foster a sense of community pride.
The Chamber encourages everyone to join in the effort, whether by participating in organised clean-up events or taking small steps in their own neighbourhoods.
In addition to cleaning up, participants are urged to focus on responsible disposal of electronic waste, helping to reduce the environmental footprint of discarded devices.
Together, we can transform Potchefstroom into a cleaner, more beautiful place to live, work, and play. Let’s roll up our sleeves and show our #ProPotch pride!
