JB Marks under payment scrutiny amid concerns over discrepancies
Concerns mount as JB Marks faces scrutiny over payment discrepancies, raising questions about the accuracy and fairness of financial allocations.

JB Marks Municipality is facing mounting criticism as Tafita Legacy Holdings reveals it has not received a single payment for services rendered since April, raising serious questions about transparency and fairness in the municipality’s procurement processes.
Owner Tafita Moeketsi voiced his frustrations, stating, “We’ve completed our obligations and delivered quality work, yet we have not seen a single payment. This situation not only affects our business but also raises concerns about the fairness of the procurement processes within the municipality.”
Moeketsi emphasised the complications arising from the lack of signed contracts, noting: “It’s a challenging position to be in. While we provided services in good faith, the lack of formal agreements means we have limited recourse.”
Despite multiple attempts to clarify the payment situation, the municipality has remained silent. The Potchefstroom Herald also contacted the municipality, but by the time of going to publish received no feedback.
