Power outage caused by lightning strike

Potchefstroom and surrounds have been lashed by heavy downpours since yesterday evening.

A lightning strike has caused significant damage to the power boxes in Kruis Street at the substation.

According to information repairs are currently underway and rewiring is still ongoing. Residents have been asked to remain patient as the process will take some time.

Potchefstroom and surrounds have been lashed by heavy downpours since yesterday evening with reports of flooding being reported on MC Roode. A part of the N12 between Potchefstroom and Stilfontein is also curently under water.
