Unforgettable school spirit at Boys High
Potchefstroom High School for Boys had a very exciting week.
This week at Potchefstroom High School for Boys, learners once again proved that school life is about so much more than the classroom, with a vibrant mix of competition, connection and outstanding leadership taking centre stage.
In-house billiards tournament
Potchefstroom High School for Boys recently hosted an exciting In-house Billiards Tournament at Milton Hostel, where learners had the opportunity to showcase their precision, focus and competitive spirit.
The tournament delivered thrilling matchups, with participants giving it their all around the table. While the competition was fierce, it was the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie that truly stood out.

First inter-school picnic
In a first for both schools, Potchefstroom High School for Boys and The High School for Girls Potchefstroom came together for a vibrant and memorable inter-school picnic.
The special fundraiser created a relaxed and enjoyable space for learners to connect, laugh and build friendships beyond the classroom. A variety of fun activities kept the energy high throughout the day, including Human Bingo, Speed Chatting, Water Relay races, “Would You Rather,” and the always entertaining egg and spoon race.
Learners were treated to a delicious grazing table and had the chance to get creative at a DIY mocktail station. The atmosphere remained lively with board and card games, great music and a sweet finish as everyone enjoyed an ice cream.
The success of the day has set the tone for many more collaborative events in the future.

Leader sets standard for excellence
Potchefstroom High School for Boys continues to nurture exceptional leaders, with Vice President of the RCL, Lesedi Modiakgotla, standing out as a shining example.
Lesedi is redefining student leadership through his dedication and drive. In addition to his role at the school, he has been appointed as President of the district RCL, further extending his impact beyond the school gates.
His leadership journey also includes serving as President of the Interact Club, Head of Academics within the hostel and Head of Charity within the hostel, a testament to his commitment to both academic excellence and community upliftment.
His achievements reflect not only personal ambition, but also the values of service, responsibility and excellence that the school strives to instil in every learner.
