Pipe burst on main water line at Lekhele Street

The Municipality is current busy with repairs to the pipe. It is unsure when the repairs will be completed.

Residents are experiencing water shortages after a pipe burst on the main water line this morning (Saturday, April 25) at Lekhele Street in Ikageng.

Jeanette Tshite, municipal spokesperson, says to allow for necessary repairs, pumping from the Ikageng Pump Station has been temporarily stopped.

“As a result, water supply to Ikageng Proper (Old Ikageng) and Potchindustria will be affected. The municipality regrets the inconvenience caused and will provide updates once repairs have been completed.”
