Young girl the only survivor in horrific crash

Four people were killed in this collision, leaving an 11-year old girl as the only survivor.

An 11-year-old girl is the only survivor of the motor vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday, 14 June at the Fochville-road turnoff on the N12 in the direction of Johannesburg.

It is alleged that the other vehicle, a white Mercedes-Benz, smashed into the oncoming Renault Clio, which had five passengers inside. The Clio was coming from Potch when the accident occurred at around 17:00 that afternoon. The girl sustained serious injuries and was transported to Carletonville Hospital.

According to the Carletonville Herald, the child’s mother was one of the passengers who was killed in the accident.

Paramedics, law enforcement other authorities were at the scene of this tragic accident.

The Potchefstroom Herald sent a media enquiry to Gauteng Provincial police, but are yet to receive feedback.
