Businesses and organisations in Potchefstroom have joined forces to help keep the Cachet Park area clean and welcoming as part of Pro Potch Clean-Up Week.

Unlock Properties recently rolled up its sleeves to assist with the clean-up of Cachet Park, saying that a thriving community starts with spaces residents can be proud of.

The initiative was also given a boost on September 26, when the management and employees of Oukraal stepped in to assist the Cachet Park City Improvement District (CID) with cleaning the area following a particularly busy student night on the Bult.

According to the Cachet Park CID, the area required extensive cleaning the following morning, with Oukraal’s team volunteering their time to help restore the precinct.

Leandro de Beer, manager at Cachet Park CID, said the involvement of local businesses demonstrates the difference that can be made when the community works together.

“We sincerely appreciate the willingness of businesses such as Oukraal and Unlock Properties to get involved and assist with keeping Cachet Park clean. It is through this kind of teamwork and community involvement that we can make a real difference in our precinct,” said de Beer.

He added that the CID values the efforts of everyone who contributes to keeping the area clean, safe and welcoming.

Unlock Properties said the clean-up was a reminder that small actions, when undertaken collectively, can have a meaningful impact on the community.

The company also thanked those driving Pro Potch Clean-Up Week, saying the initiative highlights what can be achieved when residents, businesses and community organisations work together.

The Cachet Park CID expressed its appreciation to everyone who took part, saying their hard work and support do not go unnoticed.
