Promosa hosted its own personal Cross Country Comrades a fornight ago.  Runners from all over North West flocked to the Promosa Stadium on Saturday 1 August for round six of the Athletics Central North West league.

Runners represented their schools and athletics clubs during this event, which featured various age categories ranging from under 7 up to 60 plus.

The age gap between the young Katlego Montshiwagae, the winner in the boys 8 years category, and Shadrack Khali, in 30 years and up category, was 42 years. This proved that age definitely has no limits in this sport.   Young and old scaled the terrain, some out of breath and some with vigour as it tested the athletes’ fitness on a chilly morning in Promosa.
