Jomo Cosmos squared off against Mthatha Bucks at the Fanie du Toit sports grounds on Sunday afternoon.
The Ezenkosi bagged their first home win of the season through a second-half goal by Mxolisi Macuphu.
The home side was intent on putting a better display with Lifa Hlongwane proving to be a threat for Mthatha Bucks defence.
Jomo Cosmos played their hearts out and definitely wanted to win the game. Club captain, Freddy Nsabiyumva, justified the persistent overseas interest with a match-winning performance for the Ezenkosi and there was a home debut for the 18-year-old striker, Amara Kone, who came on in the latter stages of the game.
Cosmos are 11th on the NFD log with 5 points after 4 games.
