NWU Pukke’s hockey players endured a difficult opening round of the Elite Club Challenge (ECC) hockey tournament in Potchefstroom over the weekend (25-26 February).
Pukke’s ladies fared better than the men in the opening round of their matches against JSA and Tuks. They drew 1-1 with Tuks but lost 3-2 against JSA.
Pukke’s men lost a hard-fought encounter against Old Eds 2-1 on Saturday. This defeat lowered the momentum as they were outplayed against Tuks in a 6-1 loss on Sunday.
